JPU Bambi Tivat is in the process of piloting a new program concept for the 2023/2024 school year. Two educational groups and one nursery group are part of the pilot program. Five professionals have undergone training for the implementation of the program. So far, four projects (Boat, Shadows, Turtle, and Rainbow) have been successfully realized, and three more projects (Space, Tooth, and Spider) are currently underway.

Project planning is a model of an integrative approach to the educational process, which involves deeper study and exploration of a specific topic (project) that is a common subject of study for both children and educators in a particular kindergarten group.

In project planning, children’s interests, as well as their prior knowledge and experiences related to the chosen project topic, come to the forefront. The children are active participants in learning and exploration, asking questions and expressing their ideas through activities, which encourages their creativity, critical thinking, and research skills. Through collaborative activities, socio-emotional skills are developed, and children learn teamwork and mutual cooperation.

It is important to emphasize that project planning deepens collaboration with parents and the local community, which are invaluable sources of new information. The duration of the project is flexible and depends on several factors. Primarily, it depends on the children’s interest in a particular project, the circumstances in which the activities are carried out, and the available resources from both the institution and the local community.
